Mashed, fermented, distilled, matured and bottled in Japan, per the Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association standard.

How it tastes

Built for highballs and honest about it. Light, clean, grain-forward. The blend draws on Hakushu, Yamazaki and Chita grain, but at 43% and this price it is mixed, not contemplated — soda and ice are the intended delivery system, and it performs there. Worth knowing that this is a supermarket bottle in Japan at around ¥3,200: shelf stock, no hunting required. If you are paying single-malt money for it abroad, you are paying for the export chain, not the whisky.
